Appalachian Trail" is the third of four prints in the Natural Landmarks of Virginia series that artist P. Buckley Moss created exclusively for VPM. This delightfully inspiring print depicts a section of the Trail located in the Shenandoah National Park. Cardinals watch attentively from tree branches as three white-tailed deer boldly follow the Trail. Two more deer are secluded in the shadows. A rock outcropping lies nestled in the ferns in the foreground as delicate white spring flowers emerge. The green carpeted forest undergrowth gives way to the clearing where the stone shelter welcomes weary hikers. A canopy of trees outlines the background as the Trail continues into the mountain vista.
